What actually happens in a session?
A session runs about 30 minutes. Acupressure is applied along the spine while a small sealed sample of the item being worked on is held. Nothing is injected, nothing is swallowed and no needles are used in the core protocol.
Afterwards you keep away from that one item for 25 hours. That gap is not optional. It is part of how the protocol is designed and skipping it changes the outcome.
How long does the whole program take?
The first phase is 17 sessions. Most people finish it in a single week at three sessions a day, or across three weekends. There is also a slower route of one or two sessions a week over roughly 17 weeks if travelling is not practical.
Some people carry on into later phases depending on what their testing shows. That is mapped out for you in writing beforehand rather than left open ended.
What does it cost?
The 17 session protocol is 4,000 dollars for the accelerated format or 2,675 dollars at the weekly pace. Testing and any supplements sit outside that figure.
You get the whole number in writing before anything is booked. Financing is available including 0 percent interest for up to six months, and FSA and HSA cards are accepted.
Does insurance cover this?
The protocol itself is not billed through insurance. Acupuncture at the Whittier location is, and most PPO plans are accepted there, though you should always confirm your own coverage with your carrier first.
Sitting outside insurance is exactly why the pricing and the financing are laid out plainly up front rather than arriving as a surprise.
Do I stop seeing my own doctor?
No, and please do not. This is complementary care and it does not replace medical treatment. Keep working with your physician or allergist for diagnosis, for emergency protocols and for ongoing management.
Nobody here will ask you to stop taking anything you have been prescribed. That conversation belongs with the doctor who prescribed it. If you carry epinephrine, keep carrying it.
What if it does not work for me?
Session six is a formal review. If nothing meaningful has shifted by that point we would rather you stop than keep going, and every session you have not used is refunded.
Who is this not for?
Anyone hoping for a single visit. The protocol is a set sequence and finishing part of it does not produce the same result as finishing all of it, which is why it is not sold in pieces.
It also asks something of you afterwards. There is a 25 hour avoidance window after each session and an aftercare plan to follow. If that is not realistic for you right now, this is the wrong time to start.
I live a long way away. How does that work?
Most people who come here travel in, from across the United States and from overseas. The accelerated format exists for that exact reason because it compresses the first phase into one trip instead of spreading it across a year.
Furnished housing sits about five minutes from the Buena Park clinic and we help arrange it. Mention travel on the form and the availability and costs come back to you with everything else.
Why have I never heard of this before?
It is a fair question. This method was developed in 1983 and grew almost entirely through referral rather than advertising, so for four decades it lived outside the usual healthcare channels.
We would rather inform you than convince you. If something about this does not sit right, it is completely fine to leave it.
